Northwave Rockit – MTB Shoes

The Rockit from Northwave is a lace-up MTB shoe for training rides, commuters and is perfect as an entry-level model for all bike adventurers. This shoe offers a wide range of features to combine performance with comfort.

Northwave advertises the new Rockit as an “all terrain” shoe, and that”s exactly what it is in my humble opinion. It is light enough for long gravel or mountain bike tours, offers enough protection for trail use and has a simple but attractive design, which makes it interesting for commuters as well. I spent most of my time with the Rockit in hills and low mountains, where I particularly came to appreciate the Vibram Wolftrax sole. It provides good grip even when you have to get off the bike. Clicking in and out of the Shimano ME-700 pedals has always worked smoothly, whether the sole was a bit muddy or not. The elastic strap under the lacing also comes in handy, allowing you to fix the laces. I would say the shoe is true to size, I chose a size 44 (with Five Ten, I wear a 44 2/3).
